Welcome!

We are a small, friendly group interested in all things to do with railways and railway modelling. We get together on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30 pm until 10:00 pm, and also at other times, to build our layout, play trains and/or chat. Whether you are a railway modeller, or thinking of joining in our wonderful hobby, or just curious, do come along one evening. You’ll be very welcome!

We have our own dedicated clubroom at the rear of Dorking Halls, High Street, Dorking. (click for more details of our location — it can be confusing.), so we don’t have to dismantle items between meetings. In addition to our Monday and Wednesday evening sessions, members come along on their own, or with other members, at any time to relax building their own models or doing some work on the club layout (or their own layout if it’s here). With the room comfortably warm, maybe music quietly in the background and rain on the roof, nothing could be better!

Latest News

Progress is now well underway on our latest layout Birch Coombe which we hope to have ready for exhibiting at the Horsham Model Railway Club's Exhibition in May 2017.

For those who attended our Exhibition on 8 & 9 October 2016, a downloadable programme in PDF format of the show is now available.

Date for your Diary!

Our 2017 Exhibition will be held on Saturday 30 September 10:00-17:00 and Sunday 1 October 10:00-16:00 at the Oddfellows Hall, 270 High Street Dorking RH4 1QT Anyone wishing to exhibit a layout or have a trade stand should contact us for more details.

Club activities

We have three completed layouts (Ranmore Junction Dorking Town and Earlingham). We have just started our latest project, Birch Coombe, a 00 finescale layout. If you fancy getting involved in the ground floor of this new venture, then either contact us for more details or come along on one of our Club nights. You will be very welcome!

We also exhibit our layouts at other exhibitions, the most recent being at the Horsham Model Railway Club's Annual Exhibition and at the Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railways Open Day in July 2016.

We are also building strong ties with Horsham Model Railway Club through reciprocal visits and exchanging modelling ideas and tips and are keen to foster similar relationships with other Clubs in the area.
